Pre-1990 Dulcimers
Singing Maiden #1

1974-San José: The Singing Maiden was my second dulcimer, and it was the first to have a carved head and steam bent sides. She is all Eastern black walnut. The highly figured wood is book matched on the top and back. I was still a few years away from making my own tuning pegs, so I purchased these at a local music store. The sound hole shapes are from a book I have on Celtic designs and symbols. She is in my personal collection.
