Pianoforte "London Bridge" An original Sound Sculpture in the medieval style. The keyboard and hammers are directly linked through a series of levers, similar to early pianofortes. The 15 hand-carved heads are the hammers. The key case is birdseye maple with walnut trim. The keys and hammers are maple and walnut. The sound board is salvaged 125+ year old Douglas fir from a demolished Portland, Oregon, warehouse. The upper frame is maple with a salvaged birch and walnut back. The 30 steel strings are doubled to make up the 15 notes. The size is 28" high, 18" wide, and 12" deep. This would make a lovely, exciting, and very functional sculptural centerpiece. Comes with a tuning key.
